The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, built entirely on British wool across three distinct layers that work together from surface to core. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose to keep the cover soft against the skin while providing durability for decades of use. Beneath it, a layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool allows air to move freely, moderating temperature through the night rather than trapping it, followed by a deeper layer of British fleece wool for added depth and resilience to prevent uneven surface compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, each coil in its own calico pocket to respond to weight independently. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, which is why it is used across the range. Available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm tensions, with King sizes optionally split for partners with different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching secure the border coils to the edge for a firm, consistent sleeping surface, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors the fillings to prevent lateral shift over years of use.
